Interactive Sound Installation for LIC community garden

This interactive light & sound installation is a collaborative work with Will Owen as a part of the Flux Factory's major exhibition, Nightlight. It was presented at Long Island City Community Garden in NYC, and the installation was especially designed for the children's library space in the garden. The lights are triggered in sequence as the audience sit on the provided chairs. As the final sequence the light show starts in the small box underneath of the library cabinet along with a music box tune. I created Strawberry Algorithm with Owen to compose tunes for the music box inside of the installation. It uses texts from the local message board network Occupy.here, created by Dan Phiffer, as feed to analyse and to create songs.
